What Should You Wear to After Prom?
The dance is over. The prom queen and king have been crowned, the refreshments are gone, and the decorations you worked so hard on are starting to look a little droopy. You’ve had a wonderful prom night with the man of your dreams, and you never want it to end. In fact, you’re still so revved up that you know you can’t possibly go home yet. These feelings are the exact reason that after proms came into being. While after prom is usually much more casual than the dance, and you’re more than ready to get out of your dress and heels, you still need that perfect after prom outfit to continue to wow your man.
For a more formal after prom, you might choose a light, flirty little cocktail dress. Not only will it make you look sexy and feminine, but it will feel a lot more comfortable than your constricting prom dress.
Even if your after prom is more casual, you’ll still want to look your best. How about wearing a halter-top or tunic with a denim skirt? This type of an outfit will allow you to still look put-together without having to alter your hair and make-up.
If this look is still too dressed up for your taste, you can always wear jeans or knee-length gaucho pants with your tunic or halter-top. If your after prom will include any physical activities, this might be the perfect type of outfit to wear.
Your after prom may include outdoor activities or trips out for breakfast where you’ll need a light jacket, especially if the weather is still cool. Plan to take a sweater or a shrug jacket which will both look good with any of the clothes discussed above. You don’t want to add a tacky-looking jacket to the look you’re trying to achieve.
In addition, any of the outfits will look great with low-heeled, strappy sandals. They will fit right in with your still-glamorous look while being fashionable and comfortable.
Maybe you’ve enjoyed reading about an after-prom and you’d love to go to one, but your school hasn’t ever had one. Maybe this is the time to start. By using any of the ideas outlined below, you can have an event which will add to the fun of your prom night.
A school-sponsored party can provide a safe environment in which to have your party after the prom. Talk to your school’s student council or the principal to see if it would be possible for them to sponsor one. Most schools are more than willing, because after-prom can keep their students involved in safe activities instead of being out driving around and drinking. Some activities you might want to consider are rock climbing, laser tag, casino games, and an obstacle course. Naturally, if you and your friends put your heads together, you can come up with more great things to include.
If your school isn’t willing or able to sponsor an after prom event, you can have a more casual get-together at someone’s house. Prior to the party everyone can decide on what snacks and sodas they will bring, and you can always order pizza. You may want to bring favorite movies, CDs, or games, or maybe you’d prefer just to hang out and talk.
If there’s one reasonably close, you can try going to a comedy club as a group after your prom. Some of these clubs will even offer you a group rate or a good deal on all the soda you can drink. When choosing a club you want to go to, first check and make sure that they’ll welcome people younger than 21.
If you really want to be noticed, wear your prom dresses and tuxes to a bowling alley, pool hall, or ice skating arena. You know you’ll have a super time, even if everyone else in the place stares at you. That will only add to the fun.
If you’re lucky and live near a body of water, check on the price of a cabana boat cruise for after your prom. Just think about sitting on the deck of a boat with gentle breezes blowing, sipping non-alcoholic cocktails, and gazing up at the stars. Nothing could be more idyllic or memorable.
If you don’t want to stop dancing, try going to a local nightclub. If you work with the nightclub owners ahead of time, they will often arrange to stop serving alcohol so that high school students can enjoy their facilities on prom night.
You’ll find that whatever activities you choose for your after-prom experience, they will only add to the magic of the evening. You’ll have a lot beautiful moments to remember for years to come.
Whether It’s Office Shoes Or Trainers, Make Sure You Look Great!
I’m one of those lads who cannot get enough of shoes. I love them and can’t stop thinking about them. I honestly agree with girls- shoes make or break an outfit. I truly believe shoes of one of very few things that can make you look fantastic regardless of if you were wearing rags.
Although I love shoes I find it slightly frustrating that many online shops and high street based shops have a wider variety of shoes for girls and less so for boys. I appreciate that most shoe lovers are girls but more and more males are starting to be more aware of their dress sense and how it effects every day situation. Like many people I believe your appearance says a lot about you- if you are happy to totter around in grubby and messy clothes then you may be a person who doesn’t think much of themselves and others around them.
I found several shops which accommodate who males who want to smarten their appearance. I would recommend to any male reading this and thinking ‘yes…right!’ to seriously consider who they are currently perceived by bother the opposite sex, people at work and strangers. Once you are aware of how you appear you will suddenly want do improve your image!
I once was someone who didn’t think too much into my appearance but as soon as I overheard a member of the opposite sex discuss my appearance to her fellow work colleagues I soon realised that my relaxed approach was not scoring me any points!
Metal Spikes – Do You Need Metal Spikes in Your Golf Shoes?
When you watch a golf tournament on TV, it may seem easy work to walk around a green field in crisp comfortable clothes and have someone else carry around all your equipment for you. However, when you finally put yourself in the golfer’s position, you may find that it’s not all roses-that walking on the golf course can be a very tiring experience. The challenge escalates when you are standing over a golf ball, about to put. In this moment, the slightest movement on any part of your body can affect the outcome of your put. To make sure that you have the best balance possible, consider metal golf spikes for your shoes.
If the shoe fits
There are several kinds of golf shoes available, and choosing a pair depends on your preference, level of experience and comfort. If you want to play it safe, you can go for the classic golf shoes. These shoes are not called “classic” for nothing-they basically offer everything you may need from a pair of golf shoes like function, style and comfort. If you are a serious golfer, you may want to get yourself a pair that is both waterproof and resistant to cold weather. Other types of shoes that have recently hit the market are boots (offers great warmth and protection) and the sandals (lightweight and good for hot weather).
Be a sharp player
Golf metal spikes offer the best grip when it comes to choosing spikes on golf shoes. Since they can dig deeper into the ground, they can offer you the best balance. Many professional golfers use golf metal spikes on their shoes. However, there are now some rules that forbid players from wearing this kind of spikes since they can ruin the greens or golf course. In this case, rubber or plastic spikes can suffice.
How I Lost 76 Pounds Without Weight Loss Surgery – Stop Eating Processed Foods is the First Key
The catalyst for my huge weight gain was when I quit smoking cigarettes. Of course I was always an emotional eater, but the cigarettes kept it in line and my weight did fluctuate, but never more then 10 pounds or so.
That was manageable until I quit sucking smoke.
And remember this, the cigarettes smoke, you suck it in.
I hit 294 pounds this past January, 2010 and seeing that needle approaching 300 really got me thinking about my health and appearance because not only did I look terrible and my clothes didn’t fit right, I could hardly move or tie my shoes or get in and out of my car very well.
Once I decided enough was enough, I set up my goal and my plan. My goal remains 195 pounds and I keep getting closer and closer as each week goes by.
My plan started with throwing away all the processed food I had in the house and not buying anymore.
I describe processed food as any thing in a box, bag, can or other container, frozen or not, that has ingredients with names that you need a chemistry dictionary to read, pronounce and understand what they are.
The list of non-food items contained in boxed, bagged, canned or frozen foods is extensive. The best way to see them is look at any package you have.
The list of chemical names are scary and I doubt anyone will ever understand exactly what they do to a human’s body. And the amount of sugar and salt contained in processed foods is practically criminal. My decision was, why take a chance, you don’t have to eat them so why do it?
Processed foods can make meal preparation easier but at what cost? And, how much time is really saved? 10 or 20 minutes? Is that amount of time really important enough to eat foods with ingredients that sound like they should be in your cars upholstery, not in the food you eat.
I adamantly suggest that the first key to losing weight is cutting out as much processed foods as you can. And, even if you only want or need to lose 5 or 10 pounds, banning as many of the processed foods should be your first step. And if you can’t afford the extra time needed to cook real foods, then at least try and find certified organic processed foods. They will have fewer chemicals and should be, (remember to read the label, just because it says organic doesn’t mean it’s perfect) far healthier for you and your family.
This will get you in the habit of buying more fresh foods and taking a little more time when preparing meals.
It’s worth it, it will jump-start any weight loss plan you use and everyone else who eats your meals will be healthier. Research and science really don’t quite understand how the different chemicals affect our bodies. And if nothing else, think about what you’re feeding your children.
What Not to Wear This Season
There is a mathematical rule that is quite true: for each man dressed impeccably, there are other 20 badly dressed. Even on the red carpet or at the fashion week there are plenty of men with horrible matched clothes on them. To look good this season, you better learn what you should NOT wear.
Skinny jeans
Ascent and descent in the fashion tops of skinny jeans is just as dramatic as the Roman Empire. If in 2006 skinny jeans were on the list of “Yes”, now in 2009 are on “NO, NO” list. Therefore, even in the club do not try to wear a pair of skinny jeans.
Overworked shirts
In the suburbs and television shows has become not only acceptable, but even trendy to wear shirts with many inscriptions and, if possible more glossy. Kind of those shirts with Dolce & Gabanna on back and with extremely glossy front are popular, but, in any case, do not get caught in traps of this kind.
Ugg boots
Despite their female form, Ugg boots had a spectaculars comeback for both women and men since 2000. However, this year are no longer worn. And if there are men who cannot detach from their Ugg boots, they can choose from many pairs of jeans and to wear with their favorite boots.
Jackets too big
Nothing is worse in the cold season than a winter coat with two sizes bigger. And if it was only that, but often there is and a waist belt trying to emphasize the waist.
Sweater over sweater
Men, who are not sufficiently warmed by their jacket, tend to take several layers of cotton under. T-shirts over shirts and sweater, could work for some, but if you are newly employed at some office, just graduated the college, you can only think of a boy who did not have time to make a wardrobe suitable for every season.
