Boxing Shoes – Everything You Need to Know
Boxing shoes just may be the most important pieces of equipment that a boxer owns. The perfect pair of these shoes will be lighter than air, ventilated properly so that your feet do not over heat or sweat too much, and offer the right amount of ankle support and traction for your feet. If there is a breakdown in any of these areas, your shoes could actually cause you to lose a boxing match.
Most of these shoes are made from a combination of butter soft leather, suede, and rubber soles to keep you from sliding around in the ring while doing your boxing footwork. Something else that boxing shoes offer is mesh windows on all sides of the shoes to enable your feet to breath properly. In that way, your feet do not produce so much sweat that it feels like your feet are swimming in lukewarm water.
Depending on what sort of boxing you are into, there are low top, mid top, and high top shoes available. Most of the time, serious boxers, kick boxers, and martial arts students prefer the high tops as these offer more in the way of ankle support. They are laced up the shins in order to keep them firmly in place. For working out, low top boxing shoes should work just fine.
While boxing is typically considered to be a man’s sport, more and more women are becoming interested in it and even have their own boxing matches with each other. Therefore, manufacturers now have lines of shoes for women who are into the sport. Just remember, though, whether you are a male or female boxer, always try the shoes on in the store before buying them. Walk around the store, do some of your boxing footwork. Unless they feel absolutely perfect, put them back and try again.

Lingerie – The Romance of Wearing it in and Out!
A study carried out by Debenhams had heart monitors fitted to customers in an attempt to find which departments saw them get most enthusiastic and the men scored high in the lingerie dept; that is enough proof, recession hasn’t touched the male libido! Women got most excited treating themselves to gorgeous party dresses or glam shoes or something that can be shown off and talked about in public. Yet women might get the chance to wear their lingerie out in public and satiate fashion demands with your peek-a-bra outfit as underwear is becoming the new outerwear this spring. Designers like Stella McCartney and Christian Dior are taking underwear to another level from the breast cones invented by Jean Paul Gaultier for Madonna.
Lately popularized by Lilley Allen, Britney Spears, Beyonce and Rihanna, the outfit seems to offer men a chance keep their favorite lingerie within view as women find it surprisingly cool to wear it on-the-out. It can look quite sexy as long as it’s done tastefully though it may not always be comfortable as wearing-it-out has spurred sales of nipple covers by as much as 20% in the UK. But unless you are adamant on setting a trend it would always be a better idea to hide your laces and under-wire, unless of course you are lady Gaga or dancing with the Pussy Cat Dolls.
It is true that not always can you shop for comfort and style in the same dress but when it comes to underwear, comfort is as primary as style quotient, as it would help you avoid unnecessary embarrassment trying to tighten your fallen bra strap or pull on your ridge-riding panty in public. How often does an ill-fitting bra or panty forces you to re-think your buying process? Or force you to seek the right sources?
The right bra is the one in which you don’t feel weighed down and doesn’t let you know of its presences though giving you the assurance of being covered, secured and held in place, comfortably. And besides supporting your breasts, it should also aid in defining the shape of the breast and the upper torso. An ill-fitting bra will spoil one’s posture, shape and result in neck/shoulders ache. The simple advice here is, better burn your bra than pulling over an ill-fit.
‘If you’ve got it, flaunt it’ the generation today’s mantra is showing that there is nothing like expensive lingerie to make a woman feel that extra bit special. Brasseries and panties in hot laces, transparent lace and lycra baby doll nightwear, embellished corsets and lace trimmed bras, sexy feel-free swim wear, and lipstick-red lingerie are only a few of the many underwear trends that will be shown in the collections of prominent labels this spring which give a modern yet sexy look that works for dates, cocktails, or a sexy night at home affair. Of all the mishaps and the embarrassments you surely do not want to put off your hubby or your boyfriend on the birthday or anniversary night with ill fitting and unsightly lingerie.
The trend for today suggests subtle expose of undergarments and use of lingerie-like pieces in a more refined than racy look topped by cropped off jackets and combined with pants and skirts, its more like the peek-a-boo boudoir approach at Dior, than the daring Marc Jacob cheeky bras-over-T-shirts and the bloomer twist of Joe Fresh.
As the ultra-thin fad is out, curves are back in the business focus of designers with a wide range and variety of plus-size lingerie flooding the shelves, no matter what you’re looking for – pretty plus-sized bras and panties, corsets, sexy shape-wear, naughty chemises, plus size babydoll or sumptuous swimwear that will make you feel and look sexy like never before. As the Valentine’s Day fast approaches, this could be the time to surprise your special someone, buying and/or wearing some luscious lingerie to set your romance on the throttle through spring and summer.
How to Dress For a Formal Christmas Party – Men
With the Christmas party becoming an important social and networking event for corporations, Christmas parties have got even classier. Some require a formal dress code, where the male staff are asked to wear an elegant and classy tuxedo, whereas others less formal events require a refined and tasteful suit.
When attending a Christmas party, it’s important to look stylish and chic but also individual. Don’t choose anything you feel too uncomfortable in, or clothes that simply don’t look good on you. Keep your style in line with your own unique style but with a classy twist.
Suits may seem very boring at times, yet, they can be made to look chic and fun with a splash of colour or pin stripes. A pin striped suit that is well fitting looks very smart indeed and can be teamed with a dark shirt to exude that suave look. If opting for a plain suit, adding a splash of colour via a shirt or tie will add a formal but fun look. Moreover, adding a tie to your suit creates a smart and well-groomed look, but if you want to go for the more relaxed look, avoid a tie and open the top button of your shirt.
If your Christmas party is a black tie event, then the only option is a Tuxedo. You can either rent tuxedo’s or buy them, depending on how much usage you see yourself getting out of it. Although, there is more leeway with suits, you can still accessorize a tuxedo with different styled jackets, from shorter cuts to smoker jackets. Although, traditionally black and white, you can add a splash of subtle colour to tux’s to get that individual look.
Furthermore, cufflinks are the perfect accessory to any suit or tuxedo. They look aesthetically pleasing and show that you have put that little extra effort in.
Keep in mind, before you buy a suit or tuxedo to get it measured up correctly, so that it fits you perfectly. You will need accurate measurements for your waist, inseam, shoulders, back and arms, in order to make sure your suit or tuxedo fits you.
Running Shoes
From running barefoot to running in shoes that cost a small fortune…. running sure has come a long way. Today there is such a wide range of shoes available, it takes mental gymnastics to decide which shoe would be right for you!
It was in the last century that we saw so many changes in running shoes. In the beginning of the century, running shoes were simple rubber-soled plimsolls. Today they are air- cushioned, sometimes filled with gel capsules. So they look good, feel good and add up to better performance.
The first running shoes, also called “keds”, were a result of the invention of vulcanized rubber. For the first time, people could wear shoes that they could actually play a sport in. They were light, comfortable and didn’t make a sound when you walked. That’s how they got the name “sneakers”.
Over 100 years ago, J.W. Foster and Sons of England (now known as Reebok) were the first to introduce shoes specially meant for running with spikes in them. Its owner, Joseph William Foster wanted to make a shoe that would encourage the sport of running. In 1925, a German named Adolph Dassler made shoes with hand-forged spikes. It was so specialized, there were specific models for specific distances. The material was hi-tech and light. These shoes were worn by the leading runner of the time, Jesse Owens. Adolph Dassler’s company later split into Adidas and Puma, both leading sports shoe manufacturers today.
Research in running shoes forged ahead and the need for speed and comfort produced even better footwear. Three types of running styles were found. In the neutral style, the heels hit the ground, while the foot goes in a straight line as it moves forward. In the Pronation style, the heel hits the ground, while the foot moves to the inside as it goes forward. The Supernation style was a little different where the heel hits the ground and the outside of the foot moves forward. Shoes were made to fit these varied styles and athletes now had the option of having shoes custom-made.
One of the most recent inventions is the cushioning system. It was found that foam, silicon, and air gel absorb shock. An even better product is ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA); a substance that has millions of tiny air bubbles that cushion and absorb shock. Some of these inventions were offshoots of the space research done to make clothing and footwear for astronauts!
To find the perfect shoe, your biomechanical needs should be studied. A ‘wet test’, is taken – that is, the shape of your foot on a dry floor or piece of paper. This would reveal whether your feet are flat, normal or highly arched. Based on a few more tests, the right shoes are found. This process has benefited athletes by helping in achieving better speeds, causing fewer foot injuries and longer career spans.
Mens Formal Shoes – How Important is it to Look Good?
Just like women, men also need to look good. In fact, for men it is even more important because men have to attend business meetings and make good impressions on their clients and associates, whereas in the case of women, for professional women it is essential, but for housewives there may be some space. Men cannot use many things to groom their looks and personality like women do. Men, for instance cannot use jewelry or cosmetics. Thus, for men one and only way of looking impressive and charming is to make the correct choice in buying clothes and shoes. Highly sought after men wear shoes that are shinny and beautiful. Our eyes first stop on shoes that men wear and this makes shoes an important way for men to enhance their looks.
Men’s formal shoes are available in a number of colors, designs and styles. These shoes are normally made of material such as suede, leather, and fabric. Colors like black, creme, brown and gray are most common in men shoes. Apart from these, there may also be shoes in other colors but they are generally not worn by men for formal occasions.
For formal wear, men should be selecting pair of shoes that are great in look as well as comfortable to wear. The comfort level for men is far more important than that for women. This is because women generally can bear the pain. They are more patient that men and they crave to be more stylish so in some cases where they are not even comfortable with their shoes, they will still wear them if they follow the latest trend and style. This is not the case with men, men would quickly take off the pair that would hurt their toes and would not offer them ease in walking and moving around.
Mens shoes are available in styles such as laces, slip-on and buckles. If your search is for wedding and other such formal functions, then laced shoes and slip-ons, both would serve as prefect choices. With tuxedos, suede and with other suits, leather shoes would complement in the best way.
