“Pirates are one category, which is really been genderless and ageless,” Pirate costumes also lend themselves for the activities such as scavenger hunts that even fits in with the trend of more Halloween parties and society events instead of or in addition to door-to- door trick-or-treating. A classic and male pirate costume may be only what you need to capture your valuable black pearl this Halloween.

Being a Pirate would surely allow you to cut loose and enjoy your Halloween night! Pirates, usually, were free-spirited scallywags. Make sure that you get into the actual personality and let that rebel side come out for the night! Steal a few kisses, grasp a bottle of rum and set sail for the night! This costume goes amazing with the one above to make a huge couples costume set. A pirate costume does not require being costly or difficult to make. Pirates did not have any consistent style of dress. They wore a disparity of loose-fitting clothing, normally whatever they could find. Black, brown, dark green, and burnt orange are well-liked colors for pirate pants. Usages of white, ivory, purple, red or blue for shirt colors are well admired. Pick up pants and shirts, which are at least one to two sizes too large.

Accessorize with black or brown shoes or boots (at times pirates go barefoot), a bandanna tied smartly on the head; clip on gold hoop earrings, and amazing a toy sword stuck into your belt would just rock. If you desire to wear an eye-patch, make one from a square of black felt with black elastic safe to the corners. A small stuffed parrot could be pinned onto the shoulder.

Create Your Own Butterfly Tiebacks

You could spend a lot of money on Butterfly Tiebacks for an average of $45, or you can create your own for about $7 each! These tie backs have a beautiful ribbon trails to add some elegance to the curtain. These tie backs use organza ribbon to tie around your curtain. We do not recommend using wire to wrap around the curtain as it may damage the curtain itself with tears or eventual rust stains.

Materials needed:

• Nylon butterfly

• Organza ribbon (minimum 24? per tieback)

• Scissors

• Glue gun and glue stick

• newspaper

Time required: 15 min.

Age: 10 years old with assistance of an adult when using glue gun.

Start with a nylon butterfly of your choosing. If you want it to be an accent piece, use a contrasting color. For example, if you have a pink room, you can use blue or green. If you want to have a subtle look, use a purple or yellow for a pink room. We recommend a 5? butterfly for tiebacks.

For butterfly decorations that come with a line, remove the line carefully. Pull on the short loose end of the string. This will open up the loop tie around the butterfly so that you are not in danger of cutting the delicate nylon. Once the knot is a safe distance away from the butterfly, snip the nylon line with scissors.

How Color Influences Our Lives

The influence of color began very early in our lives when our parents decorated our rooms in pink for feminine or, blue for masculine. Every day we describe our emotions and impressions with metaphors: “I feel blue,” “She’s green with envy,” “He was red in the face with anger.”  When we consult with experts how to choose the right shades for decorating our homes and offices, coloring our hair and makeup applications, we stress the sophistication and importance it has in our lives personally.

Psychologists have proven many colors have special meanings of their own. While matching moods with colors, people have associated black with depression and sadness, blue for security, peacefulness and serenity, green with envy and jealousy, red for love or anger, yellow for cheerfulness and purple for dignity, passion and regalness.

The difference in hues will change the meaning dramatically. Where soft blue may project comfort and safety, an icy blue gives the impression of being cold and aloof.  Color and its effects play an extremely important role in our every day lives, even without realizing it… whether male or female, Caucasian, Mexican or Black American. There has never been a written law dictating certain colors are either feminine or, masculine. We have let opinionated individualists throughout the decades impress their point of view upon us. Pink is just for ladies… simply isn’t true.

Pale pink is a great color for blonds and includes those of the male persuasion as well. Let’s not forget pale blue and soft lavender either. So, don’t tell the men in your life it makes him less of a man. Wearing pink and lavender won’t denounce his masculinity.  Colors we see affect us just as much as colors we wear and causes a reaction from people we meet. It reflects our individual personalities, desires and moods. A certain color we wear may say, “Hey everyone look at me!” Yet another may emphatically state, “Leave me alone, I don’t want to be noticed.”

How do you react to what others express about you? A compliment of how great you look in a certain color is exhilarating and uplifting. Those cheery words spoken make us feel stupendous. We always feel wonderful when a stranger and acquaintance acknowledges how good we actually look and reinforces how we feel about ourselves.  Compliments are meant to be received. So go out there and tell the world how wonderful a color looks on them even if you don’t know them.

A kindness given will always be passed along… it’s infectious and will grow like ripples upon the water.

Juicy Couture Kids Shoes – These Shoes Are Too Cool For School

One of the most enjoyable pastimes any child can have is playing in their mothers shoes. Perhaps not so much the boys, but definitely the girls! Playing at dress up and day dreaming about the time when you could have the same shoes, shoes with heels and shiny buckles! Well those days have arrived for the children of today with the advent of the launch of the Juicy Couture brand. Juicy Couture kids shoes in many instances are exact replicas of the adult shoes available in this fashion line.

Talk about being too cool for school, in these shoes, that is exactly what you kids will be. Although you will be hard put to impress on you kids that they can’t wear these shoes for school, they will want to wear them everywhere, everyday. The names behind the Juicy Couture brand, Pamela Skaist-Levy and Gela Nash-Taylor live in Pacoima, California and initially when they launched their fashion label, they wanted to make it affordable for everyone. But things changed fast and now it is one of the most exclusive labels available.

The brand took of virtually overnight when the ladies thought it would be cool to send Madonna one of their track suites. They had Madge embroidered on it, and although they rarely use the “Madge” slogan now. It did the job! Madonna liked the track suit and was seen wearing it, and the rest as they say is history.

In the beginning the brand was quite limited, they did not have their own flagship store and there line was marketed though various big name department stores. Now they have their own flagship store on 5th Avenue in New York as well as stores in, Texas, Atlanta, Washington DC, Chicago, and wait for it….Kuwait, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Beijing, Hong Kong, Milan, Tokyo and Shanghai.

It is not only shoes in the kids range of Juicy Couture, you will find clothing, belts, hats and scarves, book bags, jewelry, watches, case wallets and so much more. The kids are clamoring for this range, they absolutely love it!

Although Juicy Couture has found itself in trouble because of the slogans they use, then never stick to anyone slogan. However parents and various organizations have objected to the fact that they have the word “Juicy” sewn across the seat of the pants and have mention that it could be perceived to be provocative or sexual in nature.

I say leave the prudes to their meanderings if they have nothing better to do. I am buying my kids this label if they want it, I like it too! If you don’t want to buy it, you have not right to stop anyone else from doing so.

The footwear range for kids in this label is in both shoes and boots. The Mariska pumps are divine and any little girl will both feel and look really smart wearing them. There is noting provocative about these shoes; they are elegant, fashionable and stylish. True shoes which are fit for a princess!
